
Eugene Magalif
Composer, pianist and organist Eugene Magalif (b. 1957, Vitebsk, Belarus), has lived in the USA since 1990. He graduated from Vitebsk Music College and Belarusian State Conservatory (Academy of Music). Magalif’s musical style has been described as a combination of classical and popular influences. During his years in Belarus, Mr. Magalif became well-known for his pop-songs and music for children, many of which were recorded by internationally celebrated artist and ensembles for radio and television. His compositions have been performed worldwide in more than 60 countries. In 2014, The White House Winter Holiday Concert Season was opened with Magalif’s “Fantasie on a Ukrainian Carol”. He has been honored guest at the Galway Flute Festival in Switzerland and has won several awards and honors, including three Global Music Awards Silver Medals for his work “Colibri” and an Akademia Music Award in Contemporary Instrumental Music for “Concerto for Flute and Orchestra”. Eugene Magalif currently lives in New Jersey.
