He has published and edited hundreds of music books, folios and arrangements, including The Complete Beatles, scores of other popular musicians, such as John Denver and Billy Joel and the works of classical composers Lukas Foss and Howard Hanson, among others. He created and started Music Alive and Guitar One magazines, and was a co-founder of "Music in Our Schools,” the annual national celebration. He has taught at the college level and has served in senior music-publishing executive positions for the last twenty years. He is a graduate of Goddard College in Vermont. His private teachers included Elie Siegmeister, Isaac Nemiroff and Krysztof Penderecki.
