The Aria is from one of the many sonatas, and the Burlesca is a short virtuosic display piece for strings and harpsichord.  In this arrangement for mallet ensemble and optional string bass, the freedom to mix and match mallet instruments, or to use four hands on two marimbas, is at the discretion of the performers.
