Charles Edward Duble composed many circus marches around the turn of the 20th century, of which "Bravura" is easily the most famous. Although the introduction and first strain of the march are in G minor, the piece nonetheless has a solid bravura sound. Duble, being a trombonist, made sure that the lower brass has their share of interesting solo sections.
