SOUNDINGS was composed in 1982 for the opening season of concerts in the Wharton Center for the Performing Arts at Michigan State University and was premiered in 1983 by the MSU Wind Ensemble conducted by Stanley DeRusha.  A 2nd edition was completed in 2018.
