Inspired by the photographs of Ansel Adams, this concerto for trombone was commissioned by Indiana University and the Midwest Clinic for Joseph Alessi and the Indiana University Wind Ensemble, conducted by Ray Cramer.  In addition to the original wind ensemble, an arrangement with orchestra accompaniment by the compsoer and a piano reduction arranged by Mark Rogers are available from the publisher.
